To help raise funds for hotel expenses and operational expenses, JCHS TSA had fundraisers that are either done the whole year or for a few weeks. Proceeds of the chocolate fundraiser were put on each member's individual account to help with the registration for the Fall Leadership Conference and the State Leadership Conference. Proceeds of the Dairy Queen fundraisers were divided equally among the SLC participants to help with registration and hotel fees.
In the later half of the first semester JCHS TSA gave its members the opportunity to sell chocolate bars to raise individual funds for conference expenses. We raised $1,410.00 and went to our robotics team and to the hotel expenses for FLC and SLC.
We pre-sold DQ Valentines cards during the first and second week of February. Each card cost $4.00 of which we get 100%. We sold more than 70 cards and all proceeds went into our SLC hotel fees.
Our Gray DQ is very supportive of our students. We had two spirit nights this year. From 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., our family and friends come and buy DQ products to show their support for our chapter. Ten percent of that night's sales goes to our funds. For the first spirit night which was on September 24th, we were given a check of $500. We have still yet to get our next check, since we had our second DQ Spirit Night last February 11th.
